COCONUT GROVE ARTS FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES
BLUE CROSS AND BLUE SHIELD OF FLORIDA AS PRESENTING SPONSOR
The Coconut Grove Art and Historical Association, Inc., producers of the annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival®, has announced that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida will serve as presenting sponsor beginning with this year’s 44th annual show. The three-year sponsorship agreement was negotiated by Coral Gables based Korge and Company.
The announcement was made by Monty Trainer, president of the association, a non-profit community organization under the direction of a board of directors and full-time staff. Proceeds from the annual event help to fund year-round arts programs and benefit the Coconut Grove Art and Historical Association, Inc. Building Fund.
“We’re pleased with the addition of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida,” said Trainer. “The company’s reputation within the healthcare industry, along with the enthusiasm they expressed in wanting to be part of our event, made the decision of our board of directors an easy one.”
“Investing in the communities where we live and work is an important part of our philosophy at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida,” said George Foyo, South Florida Market President, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida. “We are proud to support the Coconut Grove Art and Historical Association’s Coconut Grove Arts Festival® and to help bring a dynamic cultural experience to our South Florida neighbors.”
