Coconut Grove Arts Festival Presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Announces Street Closures
The 44th annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida has announced street closures needed to prepare exhibits for the February 17-19 event.
The festival has requested permission from the City of Miami to close the following streets on Friday, Feb. 16 and keep them closed until approximately 11 p.m. on Monday Feb. 19.
- Beginning at 11 a.m., McFarlane Road from Main Highway to Mary Street, and Mary Street from Grand Avenue to South Bayshore Drive.
- At 1 p.m., South Bayshore Drive will also be closed from Mary Street to SW 27th Avenue, and SW 27th Avenue between Tigertail and South Bayshore Drive.
- At 3 p.m., South Bayshore Drive from Chart House Road to Mary Street, and Pan American Drive from South Bayshore to Chart House Road.
To help traffic flow, the Miami Police Department has planned detours on South Bayshore Drive at Aviation Avenue and on Tigertail between Aviation Avenue and SW 27th Avenue. Several days before the festival, LED message boards on Main Highway and South Bayshore Drive will alert motorists to the street closures.
