Coconut Grove Arts Festival® - February 16, 17 & 18, 2008
Volunteers are needed to staff the Coconut Grove Arts Festival® on February 16, 17 & 18, 2008. The Grove Arts Festival is the largest arts festival in the United States and is now in its 45th year. The 2008 Festival is expected to draw more than one hundred thousand visitors for three days of fine art, food, festivities, and most of all, fun!

Festival Volunteers
Volunteers for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival® are from many different backgrounds including students, staff and faculty of schools and colleges, young professionals, retired persons, community groups and arts organizations. It’s a great event for couples and individuals to meet new people.  No specific experience is necessary – only enthusiasm!  If you are under the age of 18, please fill out a student application.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer opportunities exist for people of all ages:

• Zone Leader - Coordinating selected volunteers within specific areas
• Artist Support/Relief – Helping artists at their booths, making deliveries
• Merchandise – Assisting in the Merchandise booth with sales of Festival souvenirs
• General Volunteer – Work on various tasks, as needed
• Vintage Poster Sales - Selling Vintage Festival Posters, limited opportunities available
• Kids Creative Corner – Supervising kids in children’s tent, limited opportunities available

Volunteer Schedule
Volunteers are needed for the following dates and times:

Monday is Presidents’ Day, a federal holiday. All government agencies and schools will be closed.

Volunteer Benefits

Adult Volunteers receive:

• Coconut Grove Arts Festival Volunteer T-shirt (one per volunteer/per day)
• Coconut Grove Arts Festival Souvenir Poster (one per volunteer/per day)
• Volunteers who work all three days (2 shifts each day) will receive a FRAMED Festival Poster

Student Volunteers receive:

• Coconut Grove Arts Festival Volunteer T-Shirt (one per volunteer/per day)
• Documented community service hours
